Consumers are anxious for adventure and dealers with off-road or personal watercraft units who have successfully implemented online sales models with supporting F&I products and suitable margins should fare better than businesses who overreact to market volatility. While margins have been strong for powersports dealers during the past two years, generating revenue through strategic F&I products offered as a component of the online sales process will guard against revenue decline. While inventory constraints, rising inflation, and declining consumer confidence could hamper sales, dealership staff who are trained to effectively build in F&I during the online sales process will have an advantage over other dealers waiting for customers to walk through the door.
